Seems like the romance is increasing with RD getting an interest on Fluttershy and Bronze asking AJ for permission to date Dusk. The characterizations are great with the smuggler being hinted to be nobler than expected and Bronze building good rapport with AJ and Dash. Thanks for the chapter. I hope to see the conclusion of the episode soon.
ALL HAIL FLUTTERDASH!

I'm curious as to what happened to the romance between Redheart and Dusk. At the start, it seemed like there was a strong chance of Dusk and Redheart getting together but now they barely interact anymore. So i'm not sure if something changed or you will continue their romance in a future chapter.
Oh on my pairing is at risk :(. Also can't wait until they meet Zecora, have fun with the rhyming.
6023085 There is more to her than meets the eye, of that I shan't ever lie.
6023356 So cute. So very cute.
6023416 A little of A and a little of B. Sadly I am not fantastic at squeezing everything into every chapter, as much as I want to, I often drop a ball here or there. Thankfully my editors find most of the balls I drop and slap me for forgetting them, and in Redheart's case, there are other factors that will go into why she's become less aggressive towards Dusk. Thanks for your feedback, and I'll try to keep building things for you!
6023565 I think Bronze has quickly turned into quite the fan favorite, and I'm embarrassed that I haven't done a better job with the sweet girl. Zecora has already proven to be a challenge, but I hope I can keep her true to the idea in my head atm. Thanks!
Maybe I misread the chapter but it sort of sounded like there might be two ponies collecting plants in the Everfree. One taking the Black Lotus, and Zecora. Though I did read this chapter in somewhat of a disjointed manner so it wouldn't surprise me if I am wrong.
The Dash/Dusk confrontation that I feel is coming, I suspect that aside from having a theme of Dash transitioning from Teenager to adult, it will also centralize on her ability to prioritize. Dash wants to be seen as an adult and in many ways she is such as having her own house and having a pretty important job. However these last couple of chapters have shown that Dash doesn't always prioritize what she has to do over what she wants to do. This led to her falling behind on the town's rain schedule so she had to brew up the big storm that stranded Rarity at the Library while Sweetie was home alone. And afterward she did not do the paperwork regarding worker overtime and their pay properly, just slapping something together which could get her in big trouble her superiors that may suspect she is cooking the books, which is one of the things Dusk is worried about. And now that nothing exciting is going on with the "smuggler" business Dash is turning her attention back to other things such as the Running of the Leaves even though Dusk is still relying on her weather team.
And Bronze has decided that since the subtle approach didn't work she will try to be open. And Dusk is starting to notice the implications of the way Bronze acts around him, but does he return the sentiment in any fashion?
Applejack certainly doesn't seem too happy about Bronze's interest. Though she has... "resigned" I think is the word I want... resigned herself to what is apparently Rarity's scheme to give their other friends an opportunity at being with Dusk if they wish, and the only reason she seems OK with that I suspect is because of their established relations with Dash and Fluttershy.
This line of thought has led me to ponder the status of single pairing relationships in this universe you are creating. While you have established that herds seem to be the norm, the possibility of single pairings is still there but you never elaborate on how accepted they are by society. The reason I ponder this is because I have suspected through most of your story that some individuals had parents in the single pairing setup, namely the Apple Clan and probably Rarity's parents, and at least one situation of what seems to be a single parent with Rainbow Dash (unless the mention of any mother/herd-mothers for her were so minute I forgot about them). With Pinkie its easy to go either way since we know so little about them aside from how she has both parents and at least 3 sisters. Fluttershy is still an unknown.
Anyway, thinking of Applejack growing up in an environment where she only had the two parents makes me wonder if she really prefers the more human-traditional "nuclear family" or is she just concerned about the competition for Dusk's time and affection spread over so many mares?
6031154 Okay, a lot to cover here:
Yeah, sorry man, just Zecora. Don't worry, the next chapter just jumpped from 7 pages to over 30 today so It'll likely be out sometime this weekend!
Sarah Connor: A storm is coming! >.>; Sorry I'm old.
You've got a fantastic breakdown here and your 99% correct. I can't wait to see your reaction to the rest of the chapter.
*insert evil laughter here* Err *cough* *cough* Sorry! I must have been choking on something. Don't worry, while I wont ruin anything, I've made small alterations to Bronze's fate because of how much you guys all like her. I'll not say anything else on this.
I said I wasn't going to say anything more!
Oh. Okay! AJ's main concern atm is related making sure nopony gets hurt and everypony has their time, Bronze has a past with Dusk though, and while it's a minor past, it still makes her feel jealous, and that makes her feel really guilty, because she hates the idea that she is being greedy, even just a little.
Thank you for using the word universe. World building is one my biggest concerns!
A fine point, don't worry more will be detailed!
Both Single mare families.
Single Father after mother's death, but remember Dash's lance is inscribed. No I wont go into detail, I'll leave that for you. I'm a bastard about small things, remember?
Also single mare
Some hinting, but alas, single mare.
The fact while I've hinted at both stallion-less relationships and herd relationships all six of the main six come from herd-less families with a father and mother. If I were to break down my Equestria demographically, Herds make up roughly 36-40% of the relationships, with single families making up another roughly 12-14%. However due to the legalization of both Breeding Brothels, were mare's are allowed to copulate with registered stallions to release their heat as well as [if the mare wishes] to have children, combined with legalized studding, were a stallion is hired by a mare, mare-pairing or mare only herd, to help them reproduce. That means that roughly 44% of all foals are born from single mares or mares in a relationship with another mare. The fact is, the mane six are a rare minority to have the unique love and attention of a 'normal' earth relationship.
I will promise that rampant jealousy will never a major contributing factor in future plots, but trust me, there will be arguments, fights and hurt feelings. For example: Dash only joins the herd because she loves Dusk, Applejack and Fluttershy, enjoys the casual sex, it's convent to have somepony cook for her regularly, and she has a lot of money problems
But I'm already getting carried away with myself. 99% of what I've said above is suggested or implied in previous chapters, but I haven't had Dusk go on a rant about marriage law yet because I think that's too dry even for my version of Dusk. This was a joy to read over and answer, keep up the great work.
Not too much happening here. Pinkie's insights were a nice touch.
Bronze is coming into her own as an oc, though I'm not too sure about her as a love interest.
AJ's story of how she first fell for Dusk was really adorable. That's what I love about this fandom. You take the tiniest, and even inconsequential moments, and make them just so profound. It was also cute the way AJ is deferring to Rarity as the lead mare.
