This chapter, no this arc, was magnificent. I'm surprised that the confrontation with the dragons was a little short, but watching Shy feel guilty ban out driving it off was interesting. Furthermore, I like how Dusk was concerned about the safety if hai soldiers and was willing to break a few laws to defend them. The possible arc with Dash binding with Obsidian and attempting to help out in the coming storm is a great cliffhanger. Also, the world building with the Princesses' past and the way Dusk ensured that there would be further appearances of Minuete and Lyra was entertaining to read. The part where Rarity was assisting a naked RD to braid her hair was fun...though I'm surprised about how horny those gals can begiven that RD suggested a naked shower with Rarity out of nowhere, which the latter was surprisingly tempted to accept. The part where Thunderlane walked in on a naked RD coming out the shower was absolutely hilarious. Anyway, this chapter was great and I hope the next one or the interlude comes soon.
Heheheh... I wonder what the next episode will be like. With all the jokes about Rarity and Applejack together, I can just IMAGINE the hilarity and hijinks that comes with the Rarijack ship... but then again, this is Psi-Nova, PSI-NOVA, we're talking about. What if they have a serious fight that throws any sense of decorum out the window? What if Dusk Shine is so busy trying to throw the perfect sleepover that he fails to notice (Like Twilight did n Rainbow Rocks)? Or worse... what if the Rarijack ship ends!? As a Flutterdash shipper myself, I was disappointed that he wasn't doing that (Even though it's such an ADORABLE ship, what with the tsundere tomboy and the dandere childhood friend being together and all), but to even THINK that the Rarijack ship might fall apart with all the Rarijack shippers out there... I can't even imagine the stress that would cause...
Well, can't wait for the next chapter. See ya
I like it but please, fan you stop drugind Dusk ? Poor Guy Will become addict if it Keep appening
The dragon fight went very quickly. A lot quicker than I expected, but you kind of have to when its clear that there are a bunch of Wonderbolts waiting in the wings to come to the rescue the moment things go pear-shaped.
And we continue the trend of Dusk Shine being seriously injured at the conclusion of an arc, followed by him taking serious drugs.
Was also surprised that Fluttershy didn't enter an official relationship with Dusk. Well no need to rush things.
And I believe I have figured out the reason Fluttershiy's father was mentioned in this arc. I believe his injuries were caused by a dragon, which explains why Fluttershy has such an intense fear of them. It wasn't until this chapter I figured it out.
5905257 I admit it was short but the point was to kake it clear that dragons are something to be taken even remotely lightly.
And Dusk wasn’t hurt, because Rarity managed to catch him the her shield spell before he hit the tree. But I'll admit that the drugs part was a little of a downturn at the end.
As for relationships, don't worry, Look before you sleep is next. Major AJ/Dusk/Rarity developments. Major.
Alright! I'm back from a weekend mostly away from the site and have made great progress into Chapter 9: Look Before You Sleep. Sorry for taking so long to answer your posts, but here we go:

No promises here. Drugs can be a bad thing if abused. I promise I'll try to keep things from getting malicious though!

All things in time my friend. And Rarijack is quite cute, but what happens when they have a disagreement?

You get a lot of things just right! I enjoy the heck out of your thoughts. Can't wait to see what you think of the next chapter man, and your welcome! Dash is shipped with almost everypony, and I wanted to show that it's both her own fault and not her fault at the same time.
5915362 Hmm... Well, with the way that the episode worked, R & AJ were having an argument about the weather. Then, they spend so much time arguing that they have no choice but to stay with Twilight for the... day? (yeah, it's technically the day) However, the argument from before resurfaces in the form of a competition of sorts to see who could out-trump whom, as well as a theme of choosing worrying over the small things versus the really big hing. Then a tree comes through the door because AJ overcompensated as it was heading in the opposite direction, something Rarity noticed but was unable to vocalize. Then, AJ apologizes in perhaps the most intriguing way possible: She says while it's true that the small details are important, dealing with the tree inside the... tree, is a bi more important. And so, they work together as a team to move the tree out, their relationship is vastly improved, and a ship is born in the community... yeah, I can already TELL you're going to change things.
That was even more badass than the other Dusk Shine's Flutter becoming a Dovakin.
Also, was the overdose on pain killers enough to completely heal Dusk's horn? Not sure if you clarified that or not.
Dusk proves that his god damned titles are well deserved by calming the crowd.
It never ceases to impress each time a fan comes up with an explanation that better describes the events in the show. Lost in the bureaucracy is a way better explanation than simply forgetting a day.
Really digging the lore you're setting up.
Lastly, these royal sisters make the others look absolutely negligent in comparison.
His nod wasn't the only thing stiff...
Well, as expected, Dusk's plan completely backfired. You know what they say, no plan survives contact with the enemy.
I'm surprised how little of the chapter involved the climax with the dragon, seeing as you'd been building it up the past few chapters, but I suppose it all worked out.
Though speaking of things that feel barely touched, I'm surprised you glossed over Dusk using Black Lotus, considering the massive effect it has shown thus far, unless you plan to touch back on it.
That does remind me, is Dusk's horn fixed now? I mean, the overdose on the numbing agent temporarily helped during the Great and Powerful Trixie's arc, but it was mentioned the guck was flaking off from the stress, and it was never specified whether his horn managed to fully recover or not (unless I missed it somehow). His magic seems to be fine, and there's no mention of it, so it's probably fixed, but it feels like that plot arc was just dropped rather than resolved.
However, since I don't believe in criticism without giving positives (or alternative solutions that I believe could help), I will state that aside from the aforementioned mild gripes, I still find myself enthralled by the story, wondering what happens next. So, thanks for the stellar read, and I'll see you in the next chapter.
