I liked Dusk's interactions with the Wonderbolts. Additionally, I loved how Rarity and AJ convinced him to take them to the mission and the way Rarity "soothed"/persuaded Fluttershy to come. I really hope that more information about how Rarity and Fluttershy developed so much trust (to the point that Fluttershy acts as Rarity's willing pet and does anything she asks for her without hesitation. Thanks for the amazing chapter. I hope the next one comes soon.
5804313 Don't worry! It's coming! And thanks!
Yeah, I hinted all the way back in chapter 1 that Dusk knew a few of the 'Bolts because of his duties as Princess Celestia's chosen student, you've met two of them now! Can't wait to do more fun stuff like this!
Nice job with the chapter, dude
5812994 thanks man! Hole you're doing okay!
5818840 Sorry for the confusion!
They are humanized ponies. Aka human with tails, horns, and wings depending on their clan.
Because they are humanized ponies, they use pony terminology. Thus a male is stallion, a female a mare, and a member of the unicorn clan [with a horn and a tail] is called as much to as such.
Hopefully that has helped clear up some of the confusion!
5838491 That is a fantastic interpretation of the scene! I am in awe of how much thought and detail goes into that interpretation of the scene!
Without spoiling anything, I have Dash do something similar in a later fight scene to show loyalty.
But that is the problem with Dash and AJ, and the great solution some people have come up with. Both are eligible representatives of the element of Loyalty. I tried to give some clarity with said sacrificial scene with Dash in Chapter 3.
Thanks for the feedback, and can't wait to hear what you think of my more off cannon scenes.
Wrong spelling of hoard. The one you used is for a large group of creatures, like a orde of monsters.
Big Mac was far more reserved with Dusk. Not very familial yet, but the reserved concern for AJ was nice. I guess they need some more male bonding before they can become honorary siblings like Dusk and Sweetie.
This in contrast to the very clear married dynamic between Dusk and AJ, especially the way she worriedly nags him and... does the other thing to show she cares.
Rarity's show of love was fare less subtle, but still sweet, especially her taking the initiative with learning the shield spell. Actually bringing the Elements along was also an appreciated practical move.
Rarity's command over Fluttershy. What more can be said?
However, I'm looking at the date of when this was published, and wondering if this was made before or after the comic where there was an entire neighborhood of dragons in Phillidelphia. Seems like at least that city would be able to resolve the issue rather expediently.
Dusk gets some god damned deserved titles for his accomplishments, as Twilight should have done before becoming Princess.
Creative idea with the magical knot, like magical techno-babble that makes sense.
Surprised Rainbow didn't wet herself at being acknowledged like that by the Wonder Bolts. Seems like, in your story, if she just sent in an application, she'd be fast tracked. Still has to pass basic training, but still, no need to bother with being a simple reserve.
Seems like some lip service should have been paid to why Barb doesn't come along. Just a simple acknowledgment of how wild dragons don't pay much mind to youngsters or something.
