I needed a quick break from CI,WF (don't worry, I will continue it) So I decided to start on another Idea I had, slightly different from this story, no supernatural superstrength and epic battles like in this one. I think it'll be a good chance for me to come back to the next chapter of CI,WF that I am having trouble writing. So look forward to another story, this time involving Twilight ... and a poor attempt at keeping canon.

I am really taking my time with this chapter. A whole heckofa lot of sensitive things happen in the next one, and maybe the ones after that. So I am really trying my hardest to present the events well.

The way I always see things when writing is the big points first, and then the lead up. I don't know if that's weird at all, but it's how I saw things like the first chapter. I saw the sword lighting up first, and then I planned on how they got to it.

Writing with fatigued eyes is not fun. not only can i not read what is on the screen with focus, but I can't type well either.

And it is slowing me down badly, I'm barely even started with the next chapter, I feel like I'm moving through molasses!

I am really having trouble with the next couple chapters. Most of the time, I just blast through. Trying desperately to put a movie in my head down as words on a...well, screen. And now all of the sudden, I stop...

I don't know what it is! I know what I have to write, even how to do it! Have I lost my endurance? Has my writing mind suddenly collapsed in its desperate run? Perhaps I am spending too much time editing before it is done?

I'm thinking of editing the first chapter of CI,WF. It wouldn't be anything story changing, but it might help set that hook that will keep the bronies reading. If there are thoughts on why I should/should not, would the few people who actually read these tell me about them?

Ooh! I am loving writing the next few chapters! Coalback finds himself defending the mane six from dangers that haven't been seen in equestria for thousands of years, a storm, a sickness overcomes him, and he is driven from the town by angry ponies! As well as a little romance, but who cares about that...

I keep finding myself having to cut up my chapters as I am writing them. The last three chapters of CI,WF were actually originally planned to be in one, and I'm still not done with that sequence of events. I think I may just change my strategy to being; Write what fits, come to stopping point, post what I have, ignore the fact that I had 10k+ words planned for some chapters...

...for the story. How can I help it along in generating 'heat', or just get it to more eyes?

The next couple of chapters for Cold Iron,Warm Fur may be delayed by a few days. Mostly because of a sudden flux of schoolwork, and some small amount of "Writer's Speed bumps" as I call them. However the chapters are planned out and ready to be written and edited, but I am working alone so it takes me some time to work through it. Hopefully I will have the fifth chapter up by the weekend.
