I enrolled in a Russian course during my first year in college, intending to learn it by the end of four years. I gave up after a month.

I seem to be more-popular with Russians than with any other reader nationality, maybe including my own. When someone asks to translate one of my stories, it's usually into Russian. I don't know why. Maybe it's got something to do with that "depth and resonance" you were talking about.
