If there's one thing I hate to do as an author, it's publish a story that I am not 100% sure is 100% my best work. Hence, after careful consideration, I decided to delete "Scorn of an Apple". It just wasn't up to the quality I demand and expect.

I do like the concept of an Apple Family poverty/bad harvest, and it's a concept that I very well may revisit in the future, it just didn't work in this context.

As an author, there's always a certain uncontrollable fear in everything you write; will they like it?

Coming up with ideas, with characters and stories; that's easy. What's hard is waiting for those first reviews. I try to put my best to put my best work out, I personally rejected several stories I had been typing up because I didn't feel they were up to my standards, but you can't control other people.
