Fear of the First Story · 6:09pm Jul 6th, 2012
As an author, there's always a certain uncontrollable fear in everything you write; will they like it?
Coming up with ideas, with characters and stories; that's easy. What's hard is waiting for those first reviews. I try to put my best to put my best work out, I personally rejected several stories I had been typing up because I didn't feel they were up to my standards, but you can't control other people.
So, knowing that, I nervously submitted yesterday. Then wait, and wait, and wait. View numbers start popping up and I start hyperventilating, wondering if I had made a mistake. Nevertheless, when those first thumbs started to come in, it was a great feeling. I was totally prepared to deal with negative reviews, "YOU SUCK!", and having to recover from a first story setback but, incredibly, I seemingly got 100% positive reviews.
So I guess, in a totally stereotypical, and equally cheesy manner, I shall end my first blog post by saying thanks to everypony who had the patience to read and review my first story. It really turned out better than I ever expected!
