I may need help with Google Docs. But i’ve never learned how to do it about sharing it to others. I only used it by doing school projects in the past. Will you be available when I need the help? I don’t intend to bother you if you’re busy with something. I’m not the type of person who would want to publish stuff out in public. I never liked the idea of me getting attention. Be it good or bad attention, I just prefer to stay under the radar.

Only MLP related stories are allowed on Fimfiction, so you wouldn't be able to post your story here. If you only want to share it with a few specific people, then you could use Google Docs, which allows you to share docs with people and they can read on a computer or mobile device through the Docs app. If you're doing that, you just have to set the doc up be viewable to anyone with the link, and then your can share the link anywhere you want to share the story. You won't need to give them permissions as long as you set up the Doc correctly. If you choose to go this route and you need help setting it up, lemme know and I can walk you through it.

If you want to share it more widely online there are a few options, but I'm not an expert in that field. The only site I publish on that lets you post original content is Offprint, which is still in development. That site is currently in closed alpha, so if you want to write there you have to apply to be on the site and get approved. Additionally, because it's still in alpha, there aren't a lot of readers there yet. There are also sites like Wattpad and Fictionpress, but I don't use those sites and don't know a lot about them, or which would be the best for you, so you'd have to research which one you wanna be a part of.

so i got a question-

I’ve suddenly gain the motivation to create a story. I’ve already finished the first chapter and onto the second one. It’s for lore of a character i’ve made and i felt like expanding it. Get some character development ( i f p o s s i b l e ) in it and shape it to the character that i want it to be. Or rather *is*. Idk.

I decided to share it on discord but lo’ and behold, W H O O P S . Discord doesnt allow 11,000+ letter messages. Which i doubt it’s actually that much. Probably due to the space between the paragraphs is why it’s so much. So i tried posting it on discord via notepad, word, ect. but everything got so complicated since not everyone has a computer as their main source of activity and it’s just one giant mess. Eventually i found a way, but i need to allow everyone to view it by accepting their permission every time. so that’ll get annoying fast.

SO, here’s where the question comes in.

Is it ok to post a story that ISN’T related to the show MLP:FiM?

Just askin cuz after looking around, i couldn’t really uh... find... anything that isn’t related to mlp. I get this is suppose to be a fanfiction paradise for the show. But I was curious if it’s ok to post other stories here? If it’s even an option.

If i can, i could possibly use this place as an alternative way to save stories in case if something bad were to happen to my tablet.

wonder if theres a way to make stories private tho...
