It's been a while since chapter 7, so here's what's happening;

I'm doing a rewrite. Not quite a full rewrite but a pretty substantial one. Chapters 1 and 2 have been given a couple of extra lines and paragraphs, but from that point on things start to diverge a lot more from the original. I'm currently writing chapter 6 now, which has turned out to be the equivalent of chapter 4 in the original draft, so it's all a bit longer than before, and I think it's a more solid story overall.

Sorry that it's been so long. Here's an update on Moondust.

I'm making progress with Chapter 8. Slow progress, but it's there. I'm trying to tackle the whole thing from a different angle than before which will hopefully give me a better build up to the emotional payoff at the end. Just gotta figure out specifics like the timing and direction, where I want the conversation to go and when, and how to handle a certain shift midway through. Hopefully it all comes together nicely.

Chapter 7 will be the final chapter of the story, and then there'll be a short epilogue afterwards. Chapter 7 is looking to be the biggest chapter by far, possibly twice the length of the average for this one, so it'll probably be a couple of weeks before it's ready to go.

Hey there, just a little update on how things are going.

Chapter 6 is done and edited. I'm just going to finish off the cover image for the story before I post it, but it shouldn't take long. I went through a few different ideas for the cover but I think I've got the right one now.

Feels good to finally have a new story out!

Currently starting chapter six. Chapters two - four have all been checked over for spelling and stuff, so I'll post chapter two as soon as I finish the cover image, which should be in a couple of days at most.

Gonna be frank with you, chapter 8 isn't done. Reason being I finally plucked up the courage to face a minor plot hole in the chapter that had been staring me in the face for a while and had to redo some things. At least that's smoothed out now. This week I also hit a serious slump when it came to productivity. It's just how it goes with me, of course, with periods of lots followed by periods of little, back and forth, but I'm still a bit annoyed that it messed up my schedule.

Apologies for missing the Sunday deadline last week for chapter 7. I was very unsure about it, but I think it's good to go now. Same goes for chapter 8, more so because I simply didn't have a productive week from the 18th to the 24th. Oh well.

Let's make the release date of chapter 8 be the 7th of August, just so I have a chance to get back into gear properly.

Oh wow, how about that? Turns out I will be able to make this a regular thing.

Chapter 6 has been edited and is pretty much ready to be posted on Sunday (gotta keep the schedule consistent), while chapter 7 is now ready for editing, too! Right now I'm writing chapter 8. I know what I want to do with the chapter, so it should go about as quickly as the others have been.
