Going to be a little late on the next chapter of Equestrian Roulette. Wanted to deliver something a little better this time around, and it's taking correspondingly longer as a result.
A purveyor of intelligent literary commentary some of the time, and whatever I feel like the rest of the time.

As I contemplate my projects, it occurs to me that... I don't really know why you guys follow me. Or rather, what genres you guys follow me for. Am I a comedy author? Adventure? Dark? And in that vein, are their any genres you guys want to see in particular?
I would like to apologize for the delay in updating. Today was busier than anticipated, hopefully Tuesday will work better.
Alright, for anyone who saw the blog title, I'm sure you've already guessed that this is going to be a pretty nostalgia-heavy little trip, so gird thyselves and put on thy Bare Naked Ladies. Those who were privy to our little Fox Kids theatrical adventure, I'm sure you know exactly what I mean. If you weren't part of the Digimon phenomena, I'll give you a quick rundown first so you can appreciate this as well. Those of you who grew up with our digital friends, you can just skip the next
Now, some people liked my last blog post where I reviewed things, and I enjoy talking shop, so I thought I'd tackle an issue that's been bothering me for a while. Now, let me say straight off that Steven Universe is a great show, with an emotional depth and honesty that's rare these days. That's all well and good, and the show deserves 90% of the praise it gets. What I'm here to talk about is that last 10% that bugs the heck out of me.
Hey all! Lines here. I know I don't talk a lot, or really publish a lot these days, and I'd like to take a moment to talk about that. You see, I've always been an avid follower of Kilala97 and Lopoddity's work in creating "next gen" ponies. Honestly, I suspect a good number of you know me from the stories I did inspired by their work.
I was continuing my debate with a "fundamentalist," and I had an epiphany on the nature of MLP. A "fundamentalist" is defined by the fact that they expect better from the show. Moments like Princess Big Mac, and episodes like Slice of Life frustrate them because it's MLP failing to show respect to its own universe. It's MLP treating MLP itself like a joke.
What they fail to realize, in my opinion, is that MLP's joke status is the best thing about it.
Recently, I referenced Gilda's Heel-Face turn in an online post, only to have it almost immediately replied to by a poster decrying Gilda's turnaround as one of the worst moments in the show, aside from Princess Big Mac and the Slice of Life episode. Now, this stood out to me because I feel like I've been seeing sentiments such as these around the fandom quite a bit these days. Oftentimes, posters will complain about this or that development, usually saying that the show "isn't what it used to
Okay, so, my original plan was to have a second chapter up for Uhhhh... in like a week. Unfortunately, I had such a clear idea what I wanted to do, that I figured "Hey, why don't I work on my personal story first, finally get chapter 1 of that up, then I'll bang out the conclusion to Uhhhh, and then finally do the Sequel to And that Made all the Difference."
But I can't find any of them.
