For those who're still following this, sorry for the long delay. As I've stated before, a long trip took away a lot of writing time I have.
However, good news, I'm almost done with the next chapter. I'm fairly confident that I can get it out by next week at the latest, if not earlier. So stay tuned.

One word to sum it up... bad.

Various real-life obligations have really, REALLY cut into the time I have to think and write the next chapter of Black Rain.

On the plus side, the obligations might be completed in the next week or two, after that I can finally resume writing.

Ugh, working through a writer block over the past month. The lack of time to write/think about the story didn't help either.
Good news, however, is that I'm about 1/3 done, and is almost through the "blocky" portion of the next chapter.

Now my fictional map is a bit... screwed.

Due to real-life issues, I was not able to write anything down for the past month.

In short, next chapter will be delayed for a while.

Will post more on status once I get a hang of it.

Okay, recent events had slowed the progress down significantly (injuries, work, etc).

However, progress is still going. And as of now, there are about three major sections left (out of about 10 sections completed).

So stay tuned.

P.S. A bit worried about the last section...

Okay, it looks like Chapter 7 may be longer than expected (currently 14k+ words, with about... 20%? more to go). Sorry...

Anyway, in the process of writing Chapter 7, I discovered that a small section near the beginning (about 1k words) might work better if its moved to the end of Chapter 6 (which, on re-reading, felt like a somewhat weak ending).

So I move it there.

Hm... I guess it's sort of a feature creep kinda thing going on here.
Anyway right now 10,000+ words already, and I'm probably just 60~80% done.

Current insight in my difficulties.

1. Writing about ass-kicking = easy.
2. Anything else = hard.

Oh well, practice, practice, practice.
