It can take anywhere from a few hours to a couple of days. You are a new user so you'll probably get a little more scrutiny, as they want to be sure that you know the rules and that your story displays a knowledge of grammar. There are only five story approvers on the site, and they have to deal with dozens of stories in a day. Be sure to reply to their message with "Thanks!" okay?
