Do me a favor? If you want to "talk" to someone, the only way to be sure that they get the message is by hitting the "Reply" button on the message that you want to comment on. It is the little box in the top-right of each comment. It looks like two little arrows: ">>" If you hit that, it sends a notification to the person who made the original comment, letting them know you are trying to have a conversation with them. I'm glad that I stopped back, or I would not have gotten your message!

Okay, if you want to Follow a story you have choices here. Both involve you looking at the title page of the story you want to keep track of. This is the screen that comes up when you click on the story somewhere in the site. It has the name of the story, the cover art, and the list of chapters. Look above the title and cover art. Do you see the four symbols? They are Follow(Star), Read It Later(Clock), Track (Ribbon), and Ellipses (Add to Other Bookshelf). Each of these allows you to keep track of stories that you have read, or are reading which are incomplete:

1.) Fave (Star) is the most important. Use this one to give the story a "vote" above an upvote on the story itself. This gives it weight when people are searching for similar stories, adds to its popularity, and notifies the author. It also automatically sends the story to your "Favorites" bookshelf. It will tell you when a story updates (adds anew chapter.) Use this for the stories that you think are the very best (hopefully a lot of mine!:twilightsheepish:)

2.) Read it Later (Clock) just places it on your "Read It Later" bookshelf. It doesn't notify you of updates or anything.

3.) Tracking (Ribbon) lets you know that the story has updated... and not much else.

4.) Add to Other Bookshelf (Ellipses) does exactly what it says on the tin.

I hope this helps!
