Hardly the day of rest I would like it to be. But that's life isn't it? End of one week and soon the beginning of a new week.

Yes, the day celebrated for Christopher Columbus. For whatever reason some schools, jobs, etc either recognize the day as a holiday or do not. I am really hoping I actually do not have this day off in my case, as I have a lot of coursework to do. Having the day off would actually only give me double the assigned coursework if class was cancelled. Shudders
