I'm the son of a rogue and a social worker with a college degree and artistic license. The only people I don't get along with are autocratic dictators who think they're God, or know the will of God.

Review of As the World Burns: 50 things you can do to stay in denial · 9:01am Oct 26th, 2015

As the World Burns' is a lot like Julia Wertz 'Drinking at the Movies.' The only difference between the two graphic novels is that one is a slice of life comedy and the other is a candid look at the hypocrisy of environmentalism. The primitive artistic styling is reminiscent of 12oz mouse, so you know the writer has to be talented beyond all reproach. Take from this statement what you will, but Mo Williams 'You Can Never Find a Rickshaw When It Monsoons' is both more entertaining and

Review of Neil Adams: Batman Odyssey · 3:14am Oct 22nd, 2015

Another day, another library omnibus of Batman. For some reason I'm compelled to read comic books en-masse every October and Batman is the favored son of the holiday. This collection is aesthetically pleasing, it has excellent panel layout and character design in my opinion. But, when it comes to story, I'm afraid it falls into the category of an unreliable narrator with contradictory dialog and inconsistent action. If you want to read a better collection of comics read 'Batman:Hush' or Marvel

Batman: Black and White Volume 4 review... · 6:03am Oct 16th, 2015

Based on this graphic novel I can assume Batman: Black and White is an anthology series. I personally like DC's unwrapped hardcover line, having purchased three titles in the series. So, when I saw this book missing it's dust jacket in the library I had to bring it home and look it over. Having read it over the course of the last three evenings, I can safely say this book would be a wonderful gift for collectors. With Batman: Black and White you quickly learn the names and artistic stylings of

I read the Redwall graphic novel today... · 7:48am Oct 12th, 2015

Redwall is actually a pretty good, if not rushed, stand alone graphic novel. I became interested in Redwall when I saw a Ranma crossover on fanfiction(dot)net and discovered it was available on amazon's 'video on demand' service. If Redwall was free I might have watched it, but I like to try before I buy, and a quirky Secret of Nimh, American Tale, or Anitole knock off is not something I'm willing to take a risk on.

Mambo #5 · 2:12am Oct 6th, 2015

:facehoof: Oh. MY. GOD. Lionsgate is making a 'Secret of NIMH' crossover reboot with 'An American Tail' and 'Alvin and the chipmunks.' I haven't seen a trailer of this monstrosity yet, but I'm pretty sure this train-wreck is a go. Even if they somehow manage to get Don Bluth to direct this monstrosity, I see no hope for Chipmunks 5... and, I haven't yet seen the horror of chipmunks 4. I cannot express my horror at this vain attempt to cash in on the Avengers phenomenon, by legitimizing a remake

Monsterville: Cabinet of Souls Review · 1:00am Oct 2nd, 2015

If the movie Fun Size is five stars, R.L. Stines Monsterville is a solid two stars. It's not much better than your standard Goosebumps or Haunting Hour episode, which is a real disappointment since they reportedly spent four million dollars on the movie. Assuming 'You're Next' really cost a million dollars to make, then you can clearly acknowledge that something wet belly up in this made for TV movie. Even an episode of Supernatural and it's anime counterpart has more to offer in 20 minutes

Ok! I've broken out the stainless steel clipboards and cracked open my artist's morgue for the first time in more than a year... · 4:34am Sep 29th, 2015

I invested 15 dollars in X-files comics, and I've already planned out the paneling for god knows how many pages.

How is it I don't know you may ask?

DeConstructive Criticism for Apple Bloom 1/2 part 3 · 1:07am Sep 24th, 2015

A/n: Hi all, I'm still entertaining a unskilled critic who clearly thinks I lack the insight to know, much less have the capacity, to be fully aware of what I'm doing. Because, obviously, in their not so humble opinion, I'm an irresponsible person and cannot be trusted to write a fanfiction 'parody' or work of satire featuring mythical ponies, in a land of enchantment, developed for tweens (in the hobbit sense) and tweenagers in the modern vernacular. Especially, because I violated some

Deconstructive Criticism Part 2 · 3:26am Sep 22nd, 2015

A/n: Welcome once again to my unbridled response to an unskilled critic. Although this was sent to me at roughly 5am, I have only recently become aware of their continued martyr obsession with my acceptance of their reality. Of which, I have already acknowledged receipt of and responded too because I feel deception is as much an abuse of power as gross ignorance, mean opinions, and a slap to the face. For some strange reason I was unable to moderate this character's first two posts, which I

Applebloom 1/2 DeConstructive Criticism for Chapter 3. · 6:05am Sep 20th, 2015

A/n: I broke up one long post by an unskilled reviewer with personal commentary...

Anonline:
I'm saying your latest chapter reads like forum post. Hell starting the chapter with not one, not two but THREE quotes from some no name bullshit article shows you don't know dick about shit. You don't do that. You just don't do that.
