First of all, thank you very much for adding my story Every Little Bit to your Favorites bookshelf. I'm very, very glad that you could enjoy my peek into the little worlds of Dash and Spike.

As for your question, it's largely up to you. Even in the show, the characters sometimes say "girls" instead of "mares" or "fillies." My only suggestion would be to keep it consistent with however you portray them... the more human, the more likely I'd be to use "somebody." Best of luck with your story!
