Nice to know I'm still popular... I wonder if it's possible to be too much of a writer for your own good.
I'm Zero. I'm an author-in-training who's using this site as a way to improve his potential. My favorite characters are Rarity, Sunset, and Zecora.

Two jobs, summer classes, final semester, graduation, figure out career
REALLY tired.
So I just found out that I need around 1,000 bucks by next month or I won't be able to graduate college next semester.
Pray for me, guys.
I find it astounding that even if I'm not here for months on end, people still keep pouring into my stories and blogs. And when I do update anything, it's like a put a water bottle into the ocean. And now, it's gotten to a point where even my one-shots keep getting views and comments. From a Shimmer to a Shine seems to be the crown jewel though, as it zips back to the featured box every time I update it. Wow.
Now that I have five stories under my belt (and two in limbo but who cares about them?), I just thought I'd ask your genuine opinions.
Which of my eloquent crafts do you hold above the rest?
Attention everyone! I have recently created a Discord server. Here is a like for anyone interested.
So I've been thinking about making another experimental story since we're getting close to Christmas. The basic idea was another experiment like Deafened by Silence was.
Rose: Because you still haven't learned your lesson from last time?
And just when I thought it was over, I get acknowledged by ANOTHER prominent fanfic reviewer looking through Deafened By Silence. Was he just riding Scribbler's coattails or did he come on his own? It doesn't matter either way. What does matter is me.
Well. That just happened.
Obabscribbler posts her next Halloween story for the month and my mouth drags on the floor when I see MY NAME on the byline. I am just so touched right now.
I never did get my works on EQD, but if one of the most popular fanfic readers in the community chooses to put MY story on her channel, I've got to be doing something right.
Rose: He's pretty much fanboying internally right now.
Sometimes I wonder what sort of effect writing fanfiction has on those who are fans of the show. One reviewer, the Fiery Joker, said something along those lines in his review of Twilight Time. That some fans have headcannons popularized in fanfiction and refuse to change it: focusing in particular on the flashbacks in Princess Twilight Sparkle that showed the defeats of Nightmare Moon and Discord. Both were short insta-defeats with the Elements of Harmony as we've seen in the first two seasons.
