Yes I am still alive and yes I am working on the next chapter. I have been swamped with end of the year projects and finals. I have also been working on a new story. I don't really know when I will update, bu it it should be soonish.

I really didn't (and still don't) really envision anypony but the general getting hurt that badly. The other guards were only hit by stun spell or thrown across the room. We have seen ponies in the show take a pretty good beating and be fine. Unfortunately my writing didn't describe the situation as cartoon violence as I had hoped and inadvertently became something more violent. There is not a whole lot I can do now, besides add that Twilight was relieved all the guards were released back home

I added a scene before the library scene in chapter 12 part two, to ease the transition. I also added a little tid bit at the end that was inspired by a comment about damages. Hope you enjoy.
