A few days ago, my professor asked the class to turn in a sample introduction of an argumentative paper. We had to use the two-part thesis set up, as well as spread out our introductory material over several paragraphs. Somewhere along the way we had to explain the nature of the 'problem' we wished to address, and introduce a policy to rectify it. After all that was said and done, we were to give the professor one copy, and then distribute three additional copies to three different students.
