We can now no longer write inside joke stories. Why not? A story is like, what? A few kilobytes. No wait, I'm looking at this wrong. It has nothing to do with bandwidth.

It has to do with them 'clogging up the quality of the site'.

Not that many people will see them, they don't drop the quality.
