So, I'm wondering... how would you react when a writer you're following writes something completely out of their comfort zone? (And therefore the reason you're following them.)

Lets say you follow a writer that writes the most amazing Comedy fics and then produces a really sad story?

Or a Romance writer that suddenly writes a Grimdark/Gore piece?

Or me writing a mind-control/psychological clopfic taking place in FoE? (Probably the most credible of the three scenarios, I would guess?)
