How long does it take to write a readme for a Dwarf Fortress mod? Well, about 10 hours, if you count the time when you're adding in fixes and tweaks as you're reading the raw files which you're writing the readme on. I've even found old bugs that must have happened a year ago, or more.

I'll probably release the new version on the weekend. Then I'll play Age of Wonders III.

I'll need to make another testfort.

Some of the changes:
-Darktone has been taken out. The Unity will use a variety of existing magic alloys, from felsteel to silksteel.
-"Chitin bars" have also been taken out. Chitin is processed into bonemold chunks instead, and they are used in biometal reactions.
-Item thieves probably exist now.

I hoped I'd only have to make one testfort, but it seems like it'll have to be two, due to the changes requiring a regen.

The body layer material problems should be all solved. The regen-requiring problem had to do with the new faction not using metal weapons correctly; this should work now.

If the update doesn't come to me, I'll make my own update. With Blackjack and hookers.

Okay, maybe no Blackjack. That would make the game imbalanced. And no hookers either, since citizens reproduce using spores.

The new faction is not playable, and is there to send sieges. Those will be have a lot of giant crows as cannon fodder, as well as some Hippocoraxes with high-quality weapons and armor.

About 5 years ago, I'd read through the entire Sword of Truth series and thought that it was a kinda fun adventure story.
Yes, all the parts where the author tries to shove things down the reader's throat flew completely over my head.

Just now, I've checked some Avatar fanfiction [the James Cameron film, not the cartoon] I'd also read years ago and just... ugh. My reaction to it now was: "Fucking hell, is the author secretly Ch_[REDACTED]_nce?"
