Okay, I didn't want to do this, but I can't keep fooling myself: The Switch and Cacophony are cancelled. I can't finish them. On the rare occasion I can motivate myself to try and write something, my mind draws a blank. I'm sorry to say that I just don't think I'm cut out for long stories. My mind just stops working on long projects after a while, I guess. I really am sorry to anyone who was interested in seeing either of these stories continue, but I just can't.

Okay, first and foremost: Cacophony isn't dead. I am still writing, I just want to make the next chapter long enough to be worth the wait. As it stands, I don't have enough material to make to the 2,000 word mark just yet. I am trying, but it's going slowly and I have no idea when I'll post the next update. My apologizes for the wait, but more is coming.

Okay, so things on my stories have been moving slower than expected. I think the problem is I'm working on three different stories: two for this site, and one for another. I'll debate with myself over which one I want to work on, and I'll usually wind up saying "Screw this! I'll do it later." So for now, I'm going to finish the other story I'm working on and then resume work on Cacophony. "Cacophony" is still in the works. The next chapter is about halfway done, and I hope to have the next half done before the fourth. After that, I plan on doing another chapter on "The Switch."

Edit: Okay, so I've got the next chapter done, but I can't edit it today because I'm about to head off on a short vacation with my family. But hopefully I'll have it up by no later than Saturday.

Okay, so you're probably all aware by now that I had a little trouble with the last chapter of The Switch. Well, I think that was mostly due to my arrogance and short-sightedness. While the story wasn't getting as much recognition as I had hoped, the response to the first two chapters was better than I thought it'd be. This caused my head to swell and I thought I could do no wrong.

For those of you reading The Switch (all of you, i'd assume, since that's all i've got right now) things are going to be a teensy bit delayed. I finally came up with some villains for when we get to the adventure sections of the story. However, I've yet to come up with a non-Deus-ex-Machina way for our heroes to defeat them, so I'm waiting a bit to figure things out before I go much further. But don't worry! I plan on having chapter two up sometime this weekend.
