"Good!" Twilight said, clapping her hooves together. "Now, let's get some breakfast and get you ready for school. I think we can spare ten extra minutes for sleep if your pack is already prepared."

Ash paled. "S-school? Are you serious? N-now?"

Twilight nodded furiously. "Of course. Gosh, I've forgotten how many days you've already missed and I am definitely not going to let this become a habit..."

The grey Unicorn groaned.

Well that was sudden, too sudden I'd say. This feels unfinished -- like you just finished an arc and were like "Alright let's end it here."

...see, I wasn't sure if I wanted to write one big story or split it into smaller stories. Ultimately, I decided the latter. The link to the sequel is in the last chapter.

Yeah, I can see how the ending could be seen as abrupt but while I was writing, I figured that this was a pivotal turning point where he embraces his fate, his mistakes, and himself.

The next point would be adapting to life in Equestria and then the tests of the new bonds he has made.

Nothing ever goes according to plan though and I'm sorry to see how unclear I was. If you're still interested, I would recommend at least giving the sequel a try.
