Darkness Rises Pt1: A Rift in Time

The Core

Information- So this takes place after season 14 of Ninjago, and season 8 of Mlp, The ponies are not actually ponies, but humans with horns and tails, like in the cover, And the ninja are also humans.

It was a peaceful night in Ninjago, the breeze was cool, and the moon was bright. Sensei Wu sipped his tea looking at the sky. The ninja were asleep, as they had early morning training. Wu noticed a faint tint in the sky, a blue crack that glowed and sparked. Wu jumped up and ran out the gate. “Oh no... The Core, it’s pulling back together… He’ll be allowed to escape… Wu ran down the steps to where the Core was located, underneath Borg Tower.

Lloyd woke up and stretched as he got out the bed.

“Stupid morning training” He could hear Kai mutter from his room.

“Better morning than night!” Cole yelled.

“Can you guys SHUT UP” Nya said, angrily.

“Sorry Princess, we’ll be quieter so you can get your “Royal rest”” Cole mocked. “I’m going to kill you one day” Nya rolled her eyes.

“Uh, guys, Sensei’s gone…” Jay butted in.

“WHAT!” All other 5 ninja yelled in unison.

“Yeah… I don’t know where he went..” Jay motioned them to come outside. The Monastery door was wide open, with no trace of footprints or spilled tea.

“He was in a hurry it seems” Zane pointed out.

“No duh Zane!” Cole face palmed.

Lloyd walked around, looking for clues as to where his uncle went, there was nothing of interest, untill he looked up, the huge crack in the sky…

“Guys, What the hell is that!?” He pointed.

“Lloyd what are you- Oh my GOD WHAT IS THAT” Jay screamed as the crack started to glow. “It seems to be a rift, a tear in time or universes, which means our universe is tearing into another reality.” Zane explained the situation. Suddenly, a burst of lightning came from the rift and hit the center of Ninjago city.
“Borg Tower! We have to go Check on Cyrus and Pixal!” Kai yelled. The ninja ran to go get into the bounty.
“Thrusters are on?” Nya asked. “On!” Jay replied. “Alright, Let’s take this show on the road!” Lloyd turned on the ignition as they flew off.

As they were getting closer to the tower, the lighting from the rift kept striking more furiously, like it was trying to hit the bounty. Then one huge lighting strike struck the middle again. This time making a huge purple wave that blinded the ninja for a few seconds. When they opened their eyes again, there was a castle and people with wings and tails flew by, marveling at the structure of the bounty.

“What the f-“ Kai was about to say until another wave came and they were back in Ninjago. “What was that?” Cole asked. “Not sure, but the bigger question is, what is that!?” Lloyd pointed at a halved glowing cube, that was cracked and the lighting strikes from the rift, floating above Borg Tower. It seemed to have a slightly invisible barrier. “Can we go though it?” Jay questioned. “We’ll just have to see” Nya steered into the Zone.

--------------Twilight's Castle--------------------

Twilight Sighed as She looked out the window, There was nothing to do! She walked down the stairs to her friends, who were sitting at their chairs. She sat down with them as they looked like they had just seen a ghost.

"Um, Guys, are you alright?" Twilight worriedly asked.

"Sweetie, we're fine, unless you can see this letter from the princesses!" Rarity Shrieked. Twilight grabbed the note and looked at it.

"Twlight, our world is going to collide with another, we must brace the citzens for impact, this could cause both of the worlds to collaspe under pressure, So me and Luna are using our magic to keep the Core intact." Twilight read.

"Twilight, what's the core?" Rainbow Dash tilted her head.

"Not sure, but we have to go help, I've never read about the core in my entire life" Twilight ran to the library as the others followed.

"Core...…Core! I got it!" Twilight Levitated the book, and set in on a table. She opened it a peak and the book started to glow and float, until a huge wave of light came upon the room.

"The book is making a hologram thingy" Applejack pointed out.

"It has words.. In ancient pony language!" Twilight looked up at it and started to read.

"Long ago, before time had a name, the First Spinjitzu Master created Ninquestria, but not without help, he met a beautiful humine (that's what the ponies are called now) who he fell in love with instantly, Her name was Sunlight Moondust, the only one who was able to control all the elements of harmony at the same time. They made the world side by side." Twilight was interrupted by Rarity.

"OMC THAT'S SO CUTE, but what is spinjiztu?" Rarity exlaimed. "Can I finish reading?" Twilight asked with a hint of annoyance. "Of course" Rarity twirled her hair.

"The Fsm had a brother, but he was favored by the Oni and took on a dark path. He saw what Sunlight and The Fsm had created out of their love, and his jealously fueled his darkness, he began to study a darker magic, Rift magic, giving him the ability to destroy entire universes. The Fsm and Sunlight would not stand for this, they tried their hardest to stop him, but it was too late. They did the only thing they could do. They went to the core, an infinite source of power that held the fabric of the universe together, and created a crystal out of it's power. They used the crystal to safely split the core, and divide the realms. Then they used the true power of the crystal to banish Darkwave, his brother. After the battle was done, they had four children, two girls of which were humines, and the other two boys were humans.

The only way Darkwave should ever return is if the Core joins back together and the realm crystal is destroyed and overloaded..." Twilight gulped at the last sentence.

"Isn't the core already combining again?" Rainbow asked. "Yes, we need to go help them, If the core becomes one once more, we have a chance of him coming back..." Twilight said. "We're going to that blue crack in the sky" She pointed to it and off they went.

----------------------------------Back in Ninjago--------------------------------------

The Ninja went full thrust into the core's zone, they thought that they would crash into the barrier, but they were able to make it inside, until they started to float off the bounty.

"Who turned off the gravity in here?!" Jay yelled.

"I believe the cube is altering reality as we speak, causing what I'd like to call a reality strike, which is what that giant wave that transported us did" Zane explained. "How come it happened only to us?" Kai asked. "I think everyone in Ninjago was transported there for a good second" Zane said. "Then how come we didn't see anyone?" Cole asked, confused. "It might have to do with location" Jay said.

"Guys, I see Sensei!" Lloyd pointed. "Try to dive to him!" Kai pointed himself downwards and headed towards the old man as the others followed. The halfed cube shot a bolt at them, and Zane blocked it as they reached Wu, who was also floating.

"Jay, Strike the core!" Wu yelled.

"Why! Won't it do something weird?" Jay asked.

"Just do it Jay!" Wu said. Jay shot a burst of lighting at the core causing the zone to fall and for gravity to return to normal.

"Whew, that was close" Kai said as they floated down. Pixal and Cyrus were also there.

"Is everyone okay?" Pixal asked.

"I'm fine, you?" Zane hugged her.

"I was able to us down with this gravity shifter" Pixal pulled out the device. "How did you guys know to make that for this situation?" Jay asked.

"Let us explain" Wu and Cyrus said.

-------------------------2 mins later---------------------

"Wait, wait, wait, this is only one half of the core?!" Lloyd said. "Correct Lloyd, the other half is in another dimension" Wu said. "But if it was okay being halved about 5000 years ago, why is it upset now?" Cole asked. "Since Lloyd destroyed the realm crystal, the core's balance was shifted, and it has been slowing getting worse since the attack of the Oni" Wu explained. "The overlord came to this location because he could feel the source of power, yet that power helped Lloyd, I had Cyrus bulid over it so he could keep it in check, yet it has broken out, as you can see, floating above borg tower now"

"So since the shards are not together, this is making the core unstable?" Zane asked. "Yes Zane, We have to find the shards, because if they rejoin, and the realm crystal is not intact, it will overload the shards and allow Darkwave to escape..." Wu said. "What I had Jay do was keep the core intact for a second, since lighting is connected to rift energy

"Sensei, I have two aunts?" Lloyd wondered. "Yes, my sisters, we used to always be with them, but I haven’t seen them since after you were born." Wu sighed. "Sorry to break to moment but, the core is freaking out!" Jay screamed. The core started to crack and glow, until it shot up a huge burst of lightning into the rift in the sky, opening it wider.

"What... the... fuck...." Nya said.

----------------------------Equestria--------------------------

Twilight and the others arrived at the core and saw Celestia and Luna using their magic on the core, trying to keep it intact.

"Princess Celestia!" Twilight yelled.

"Twilight! You shouldn't have come!" Celestia yelled back.

"Sister, I can't hold it, Much.. longer.." Luna started to faint.

"The princesses are getting drained! We have to help!" Rainbow flew towards them, but as she did, the rift in the sky shot lighting into the core and blew everyone back.

"Oh no, It's starting" Luna groaned. "Wha- what's starting" Fluttershy asked.

"Brace for Impact!" Celestia said as a great blinding light came over them.

-------------------------------------------Ninjago------------------------------

"Get ready for wahtever comes!" Lloyd yelled as everything blacked out.

-30 seconds later-

Lloyd got up and scratched his head. What happened?

"Kai, Zane! You there?" He yelled.

"Here!" Kai said.

The light went back to normal and all the ninja could clearly see borg tower, but it wasn't Borg tower, It was a castle.... Well half of a castle and half of Borg tower.

"It's that same castle we saw in the reality strike!" Nya pointed out. "That's not all..." Zane told them to turn around. There was city houses replaced with fancy houses. Zane made a hologram of Ninjago and they looked at all the new things. Jamanakai Village was halved with some less fancier houses, The forest had a darker shade on one side. The sea seemed to have a city in it now, and the lost city of Ouroboros had more mountains, and there was a cloud city in the sky. But the thing that was interesting to them was that there was another castle floating above the monastery.

"Our realm just collided with another..." Jay said. Suddenly, people with spears pointed at their faces.

"Who are you and what's your business!"

"This is just the life of a Ninja..." Lloyd sighed.
