998 Years After Banishment

998 A.B. Abril 18th
Today is the day of my initiation ceremony. To be honest I am slightly scared of the thought of joining the military. I know as Celestia’s student I will be given an officer's rank removing me from most of the danger if there ever is a war but still ponies lives will be in my hooves if… None the less my parents are very proud that two of their children are carrying on the Sparkle’s military lineage. I just hope I don’t do anything stupid.

Today is the day unicorns dread the most. Upon our sixteenth birthday we are required to join the “magic draft”. We are ripped away from our homes for the next two years of our lives and subjected to intensive brutal training. Today is my birthday and I am currently being shipped to Canterlot for the initiation ceremony as the pegasus guards call it. I must admit I have never been so terrified in my life. I hate my mascara running, it’s so unbecoming of a lady.
