So it's been about a month since the last update.

All said and done, I haven't gotten nearly as much writing done as I'd liked, but all said and done, I've still gotten a fair amount written.
There are currently seven chapters plus the prologue finished, and I'm currently getting prepped to write the eighth.

So, for the past week or two, I've been dealing with a lot of heat and humidity. Keeps me from doing much of anything, because it seems like I'm dying at all times. At best, I've been able to binge watch anime like My Hero Academia and [for some reason] Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds.

Maaan... would it ever be neat if the When a Pony Calls/The Alchemist's Heart duology or Displaced had TV Tropes pages like some other fics on did. Unfortunately, Seven sucks at tropes, lol. Not asking anybody to do anything; just musing on the idea.

So yeah. After a lot of writers block and XCOM, I'm very nearly ready to send the epilogue off to my team for editing. There are maybe two scenes left to write, and that's it. Once that is edited, it's done. Now, I'd like to think that I'll have it out by this weekend, but for sure, baring any interference from real life, I will have it out by the end of next week.

Chapter 35 is finished, and is now just waiting on the okay from my editing team, and I have news! The title for the longest chapter of The Alchemist's Heart has been wrested free from the grasp of Chapter 15: Everfree and claimed by Chapter 35. I can't say by just how many words the chapter has 15 beat, because the Fimfic word counter is different than the Google Docs counter, but the count in the document exceeds 9700 words.

First thing's first. I have been working on the next chapter of The Alchemist's Heart since the release of the previous one. Heck, as it stands, Chapter 33 is already 'complete'. Things have just been delayed by a partial rewrite/extension of the chapter that occurred after three out of four finished their edit runs. I'm pretty much just waiting for the guys to make a second pass on the modified sections before I label it cleared for release.
