The Watch Chapter 8 is finally up!
On one hand this is about two months over due. On the other hand this is just under a year from when Chapter 7 came out.
It's also significantly longer than anything I wrote for this story in years.

So I was looking through my About page on this site and noticed that the link to my fanfiction.net account was dead. I've fixed that. Also added link to my AO3 account.

I've had the typed draft of chapter eight of The Watch complete for awhile. I just need to re-watch Boast Busters and Magic Duel to double check some stuff.

Finished hand written draft of Chapter 8 a few weeks ago. Didn't make blog at that point because real life has been crazy.
Almost done typing it up. After that I'll edit again.
Who knows maybe I'll have it posted in time for the tenth anniversary of the the story's start.

So...Yesterday was a slow day at work. Which are awesome days for writing.
I find that if I'm at home I get distracted.
But if I'm at work and it's slow day, I get writing done. Since my brain has to be on for work anyway it works.
So, I I've started the next chapter and have a good idea about were it's going.

So this afternoon I sat down and powered through the edits Chapter 7 needed. I just felt with everything going on I needed to post something actually about ponies.
... Even if Twilight is only actual pony that shows up in it

Last week I finally edited my second draft of chapter seven

I now need to type it up. This will take some time
I messed up some punctuation
And by some I mean used quotation marks for entire conversations that were supposed to be telepathic

Plus I did the editing at night after not being able to sleep
So I will probably go over it a third time afterwards

So.. I ended up finding a middle ground.
I changed some very minor things that I hope will make things easier on me going forward.
Chapter seven is typed up and just needs another looking over
Which...should happen...soon...

It may take longer than I thought to get the next chapter up.

...Fire Emblem is still addictive
Three Houses even more so then Awakening was.

Plus this whole “job” thing

So... guess who just cranked out a rough draft of chapter 7.

I’ve also come to another decision
Buck the massive edits I had planned

They where never getting done and were only causing undue stress

So I’ve decided to just fill the plot holes as they show up later

Plus a mores specific update when it’s actually uploaded
Which should happen this week

So I’m kinda back.
Kinda.
The reason there’s been no updates is because I figured none of you wanted six years worth of my saying “I have no idea what I want to do with this story “

I still have no idea of what I want to to for short term about ‘The Watch’, other than knowing I will get back to it. Also I’ve made a final call about some of the history between Celestia and The Doctor that had been bothering me.

Hopefully this leads to more updates of some kind.

So… it's been awhile. Eight months since last journal, nine months since last story, over a year since last post for ongoing story. Even this update is just to clarify that I'm aware of all this. I could say that I actually plan on doing the revisions for the next chapter of The Watch, but I don't like leading people on. So, I'm alive, but I've done nothing, and I have no idea when anything new is coming out here.

In case anyone cares, I am aware of the lack of updates on The Watch. As I've mentioned before I plan on revising chapters 2-6 more before writing new material. I haven't started doing so. Mostly because once that's out of the way no more excuse for not having a real update. I really have no idea what to write for Twilight's confrontations with the Rani and Trixie. I guess starting those edits could give me some ideas.
