That's how long it's been since I first sat down to write The Evolution of Harmony. I wrote it in a week and posted it to my brand new FimFiction account as soon as I logged in.

So, I'm not an artist, and I was never 100% happy with the old brown/green pony. One of those wonderful comments on my user page got me thinking I needed to find something that 1) reflected a more show appropriate view of myself, and 2) wasn't an oddly colored Alicorn. Then it all clicked—almost too well.

So, I think I'm finally done with book one. I wouldn't wish that job on anyone. I have no problem editing a single chapter or reworking a scene, but doing a complete overhaul of a 40k word story is hard. It's even harder when you've done a complete rewrite for a fourth time now. I added a little over 5k words to the last edit which had actually taken the story down to 36k. It now stands at around 42k.

Edits are done on book one. It took longer than I expected, and there were a lot of things I ended up fixing. The story remains, for the most part, untouched.

With that out of the way, most of my time now should be devoted to book three. I hope to start publishing chapters this weekend.

Just starting out here on Fimficiton - very first time writing a story, much less a fanfic pony one.

I hope people enjoy the story. I had a pretty good time writing it.

Planning on doing a trilogy and am well into putting together the second installment. I will be releasing it in sections since that's how the story works already. I plan on writing a few chapters ahead of release so I can make minor edits and do some polish work before throwing it out to the public.
