One of the very first stories I ever wrote was The Gentle Nights. To this day, it remains the single highest rated story in my collection, if one goes by approval percentages. I enjoyed the concept, but the story itself never felt right to me. It was too short, it skimmed over too much and completely bypassed months of time.
