I was reading through the comments lately and read the comment of Tenth. At the time I originally wrote the chapter, I deemed it a better idea to do this in order to establish something between AJ and Tyler, since he has something special with each of his herd mates, so why not being the submissive one to her.

It was a nice episode, don't get me wrong. I enjoyed the message of the episode, yet I think the delivery, at least for me, was meh. A Spike episode seems to have a flaw by default.

The wrong approach was foreseeable and I already shook my head when Spike was hanging out with Thorax to make friends among ponies in disguise. The Element of Honesty should have a word with the little dragon.
