Sufficiently Advanced is now part of the Black-light's Library! · 6:54pm Apr 26th, 2014
First time one of the library groups shown interest in one of my fics! Thanks a bunch to whoever it was that submitted SA!

Because so far, what I've seen and heard of it is setting off near damn everyone of my alarm-bells for 'Hollywood dribble.'

Trailer #2:
Movie Bob's review.
So, apparently artificial vaginas might soon be a thing.
Source and the original article.
It apparently uses cells taken from the patient's own (damaged or malformed) vagina, so no luck for transsexuals in this case, but that does mean there is no tissue-rejection.
Either way, nifty stuff.
The joke was yesterdays completely canonical SA update! Aren't I dangerously meta?
Admit it, everybody off you reading it expected Blake to explode into confetti, or something.
An extra thanks to Robot Jesus (formerly Razzle Dazzle) for liking the idea enough to push the update out on time for the holiday.
Hope it added a few bits more of tension for at least some of you.
So, NASA is doing something rather interesting. They're making a new spacesuit prototype, but they're letting the public vote on how the things will actually look. The insides will be completely the same, but rather interesting nonetheless.
I bring you the design improved on, the Z-1 spacesuit just for comparison:
I ask, because I was waiting on feedback on some changes to chapter 3 and realized rather out of the blue that I'd been lazy in my research on a rather important bit of back-story for one of the future characters.
Censored for those squirmy about medical stuff or those that would rather be surprised:
Just dying slightly from a vow seeking spot of plague.
Less then twenty four hours after the first update promise I've made in nearly four-five months...
And I get sick for the first time in nearly a year and a half!
Will see how I feel after a long nap, a few chewed black-peppers, a clove or two of garlic and my biyearly medicinal drink.
I'm I weird when I admit I find the alcohol the least pleasing part of that household cure? Just not a fan.
I can't quite promise it will be up by then since I don't know the schedule of my editors... but I'm going to take it as a personal challenge to get my thumb out of my arse and actually finish the rewrite before the coming weekend is over.

(And yes, this is somewhat related to Sufficiently Advanced. Hint, hint.)
First clinical trial of a prosthetic with a sense of actual touch!
One test subject, one prototype and that last one has only seen even limited trial runs... but freaking still! A sense of touch!
I frankly thought this was still a decade or two away.
I've been researching a few things for Sufficiently Advanced and I came across a couple of neat O'Neill cylinder pics on Wikipedia.
What is a O'Neill cylinder you ask?
This pretty 'little' thing:
And this last is my favorite.
First and the biggest one. The one that might be controversial.
Anthro tag. I’m thinking of adding one.
It was blink and you miss it, but a few of the members of the Pie Clan has been shown with that style of frame. Normally such a clear background detail wouldn’t matter much, but…
I've noticed a gap in the group coverage and I'm thinking off trying my hand at fixing that.
There are a decent number of alicorn, transformation, and even a couple of cyborg ponies groups...
But there doesn't seem to be a single group for stories with the theme of or characters actively striving for such a transformation.
