Crash Down chapter 9 currently sits at 7,907 words and is almost complete. Editors and pre-readers can expect it in the next day or two.

I expect it will come out to around 10,000 words. So yeah, if I had actually written all this and put it into a single chapter 8, it would have been almost 20,000 words. Now there's a scary thought! I know some fics out there do really long chapters, but that is not something I really want to do if I can avoid it.

I've been writing mushy, gooey romance scenes for the next chapter of The Conquering of Love all evening. I think I'm gonna melt soon.

We're gonna have total mushfest 2015, I swear, and I love it!

BTW word count already sitting at around 4,000!

Now I just have to force myself to go back and finish off all the actiony conflict stuff, cuz that comes first, then the mush.

Yo! So, I am going to be on vacation in Florida from 9/4 - 9/12. I will be bringing my laptop with me, so getting some writing in during downtime shouldn't be a problem. The main issue is that the release window for the next chapter of Conquering of Love falls on days when I will be on the road to Florida and getting settled in, so those are actually the least likely days to expect a release.

Here I go again! Writing a scene where a changeling is feeding on somepony, and it feels so rapey. When I first came up with the idea of a changeling's victim feeling the need to give more and more as they are fed upon, I didn't think of the super creepy implications that much because hey, changelings are mostly going to be doing terrible things.
