After seeing the warm reception of my last chapter, I've been very motivated to write. I'm now about 6,000 words deep into chapter 22. I want to say this is going to be a shorter one, but that never turns out to be true. Maybe, if I can learn to manage my time better, I can pull off weekly updates. It's still a pipe dream at this point, but 1500 words a day certainly sounds doable.

I want to give a big shout-out to Mix-up for his amazing work with the cover art. I thank him for his dedication, and his patience. When I set out to write this story one of my goals was that someone would like it enough to want to make artwork for it. Seeing it complete is like a dream come true.

Probably not the update you were hoping for, but I'm pleased to announce that I've returned to writing and have started the next Borrowed Time. Real life got in the way, but now I should be relatively free to write as long as I manage my time correctly.

I was fairly successful last time I committed to a date, so hopefully promising that I'll get the next chapter to my editors by the end of the weekend will help me follow through.

Well, I sort of accomplished my goal. I did manage to finish the next Borrowed TIme chapter by today, but it will likely be at least 24 hours until my editors can sign off on it. Thank you for your patience.

For those of you interested in hearing a status update, I have a good portion of the next chapter of Borrowed Time written. It's already longer than my typical chapter, but I still have at least two scenes to write. I'd normally split it, but there's no natural breaking point to be found. Hopefully the wait will be worth it.

The next Borrowed Time is now in the editing stages. Unless, a second look reveals it to be particularly ponderous, expect to see it soon.

I tried something different for the next installment of Borrowed Time. I wrote Two chapters at once to make sure they flow together. I'm still not sure how well this worked, as I completed the second chapter before the first, but either way, expect two new chapters relatively quickly.

I've been thinking that I'd rather have a mediocre story that can reach the finish-line than a perfect, unwritten piece, so I'll try to move things more quickly from now on.
