If there was a Champion Battle Royal between each Champions from different Regions. Who would you root for?

Red vs Lance vs Steven vs Cynthia vs Adler vs Diantha vs Elio vs Leon.

In terms of their actual pokemon teams inside the game that's a debate, in terms of their anime counterpart that's also tricky, in terms of their strength according to the story of the game... That's NOT a debate.

Cynthia and Leon are impressive champions, and I think they would compete for the second place since one was fully prepared to fight Giratina alone and one weakened Eternatus on his own... But Elio's presence in your list of names, well, there's no contest anymore.

Elio not only defeated alone Ultra Necrozma, which was much faster than Solgaleo and Lunala who could fly Light Years in seconds, it also could forcefully open portals between universes, devoured the light of an entire universe to gain power and has one of the most broken abilities ever.

That's already ridiculous, but you could actually that both Leon an Cynthia also challenged a really powerful legendary monster, and that's not wrong at all, but then we have the RR Episode.

The Rainbow Rocket is what probably solidified Elio's place at the top of the Champions group, but probably on the top 01 of the Pokemon Protagonist's list as well.

In that episode not only USUM protagonist's defeat every single evil team leader, but also their respective legendary Pokemon as well, and more importantly, a version of the evil leader that was SUCCESSFUL in their own world. That Means Archie and Maxie changed the whole planet with their now tamed legendary, Cyrus was successful in creating a universe without "weakness" as he says, Ghetsis comfortably sits at the top of his world, Lysandre killed almost all life on his planet and Giovanni make them all one of the most ridiculously broken evil team in all fiction... Except that Elio ALONE CRUSHED EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM.

He took everything that made all other protagonist's special and did the same... With people that are actually even more powerful than the ones the others did face.

And that's not counting the battle tree where the protagonist canonically defeats adult Red and Blue, he also defeats Cynthia, Kukui, Colress, Wally among other trainers with such caliber.

In my opinion, Elio's presence here just put a shadow on absolutely everyone else with ease.

Elio is technically the frist avatar Champion since Alola doesn't have Gym Leaders and Kukui was the one who invent The Pokemon League and hired Two Kahunas, One Trial Captian and A Golfer for oblivious reason. Now when you played Pokemon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon it does make you feel like you are a Champion both in the real world and the game.
