I've been trying to look up some of the locations created for the DCU (for a story I'm writing), specifically nations in Europe and the Middle East, but I'm having a hard time with the geography. Partially it's because of the different universe's of the DCU, like how in Superman vs the Elite Biyalia and Pokolistan are at each other's throats, but in the comics Biyalia's in the Middle East while Pokolistan is an old Soviet territory in the middle of Europe.

Should I just play fast and loose with the locations of countries such as these, or is there some guide to DC Geography that I should look for?

Here a link to a tumblr about comic cartography, it might help. But I really don't think it matters if you get the geographic locations correct as long as your consistent with where you say they are, and as long as you taking from at least one canon source even if it contradicts other ones.
