My computer died recently so I'm only able to play minecraft, Does anyone know a nice vanilla server? I'm uncaring about plugins.

pehaps i could set up a server, got a few spare towers laying around, also what version? 1.7.2, bukkit?, hexxit? techit?, i can host a 20ish (vannila) server well enough on my computer, but once i hit FTB, that kills my ram, (perhaps i should run it on a damn small linux server?)
