In order to bring more activity to this group, I’m making another sticky. Fanfics recommended in this thread don’t have to be MLP-related, but they do have to be roleswaps.

The Ed/Al roleswap is one of the most common AUs in the Fullmetal Alchemist fandom, but it’s what got me into roleswaps in the first place. Threads of Time isn’t the only fic about this roleswap I’ve read, but it is my favourite (though it’s been a while since I read it). I have a soft spot for fanfics about the brothers’ recovery, and I like how it focuses on scenes we didn’t see in canon in order to provide more characterisations, instead of devolving into a summary of canon like a certain other FMA AU that partially inspired Silent Wings. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been updated since 2007.
