For those that care about Norse stuff, here's one for you.

Human male, caught in a blizzard during December. While at the same time, anthro yaks from two sides engage a monstrous battle, and our human gets caught in the middle of it. After the battle, he was uncovered by one of these yak clans and was brought into slavery.

But that's another thing, and I know I should know this already but: What is the use of slavery for Norsemen?

Please leave me a straight answer, just so I know what to write.

Same reason slaves exist in any society. To do things even the serfs are considered too good for. Slaves are at the very bottom of the social hierarchy for a reason.
