Safety is a basic need of every child. They want to know they are protected by someone more powerful than them. When we grow up, that need doesn't just simply vanish. We'd still like to feel there's some great being watching over us. Christianity provides people with that feeling of safety.

In this thread we reassure each other that our religion is true so that we may never lose our safety blanket.

Well said. Every other belief system out there fails to provide a means of salvation, fails to give an explanation for sin and wickedness in our world, or both. They leave you without hope and meaning. Christianity gives us hope and gives us answered to our deepest questions, and the answers feel good!
