As a suggestion, but not a requirement, try to not have the fanfic play out word-for-word exactly like the original film. Adding in new characters that weren't present beforehand can change a lot of plotlines. Get creative, have it diverge a little.. or a lot. Different endings are not only allowed, they're encouraged.
