5702000 Gohan did later choose that for himself, for better or for worse though I kind of wish that was more balanced out if that makes any sense. Though with Gohan recently being confirmed to being one of the fighters for team universe 7 in the upcoming multi verse tournament in Dragon Ball Super we might get to see some badass moments from him though I guess we will have to wait and see.
