Even in victory, Equestria has been ravaged by the war. Forests have grown to such lengths that they covers a fourth of Equestria, and the rest of the land has been, and still continues to be, assaulted by splinter groups, chief among the Dark Deliverance, led by the powerful unicorn, Blinking Dagger, former 'Eye of Alevrus'. The royal guard is too few in number to do much other than defend towns, and cannot go out outlaw hunting.

Equestria relies on its adventurers more so than any law enforcement to stop these attacks.
