An effective way to get a religious gathering to align with your political platform is to convince them that your spiritual position is the same as theirs. You don't actually have to be their religion to do it. You just have to convince them that they're in danger of being an oppressed minority (which is incredibly easy: all you have to do is lament whatever hot topic they're complaining about but be a little louder than them) and say that you're the only person running for office that will save them (which is also incredibly easy: all you have to do is join in the gaslighting and be a little louder about it).
By the time you're done, you've built a new church around yourself and if your voter base is none the wiser; congrats on your election.
