For Keam and Silent echo. Send the link for this thread to them.

So....here is something completely different, unexpected, "old world European" and obscure (unless you happen to be Swedish): music and instructions to perform "Klappdans" (Swedish Couple Dance).

RCA Victor had released an entire series of "Folk Dance" titles under their "Educational Series" in 1952, aimed at teaching school children how to perform these dances. Swedish, Danish, English, Belgian, German, Irish, Scotch and Czechoslovakian songs and dances were included in this series.

This bit of nostalgic European music is a reminder of years ago - long before big band, "pop" music, rock and roll, disco, hip hop and "electro (head-banging)" music. For those game souls who might want to give it a try, the dance step instructions are included (good luck)! This type of music would probably sound so strange to "millenials" - but "baby boomers" who remember Lawrence Welk (he sometimes presented this type of music) will either smile or roll their eyes! 😆

Released on RCA Victor 41-6171. Orchestra under the direction of Michael Herman.
