So, what's the difference?

Pre-reading
Pre-reading is when you read through a story before it is posted on the site and offer comments on the story. This is usually to a high standard.

Editing
Editing is when you read through a story before it is posted on the site and edit the story so that it makes sense and so that the grammar is correct. They may also slightly edit the story to make it better, however this may not change the storyline.

Proof-reading
Proof-reading is when a person checks through a story to look for grammatical errors, or just errors in general, and alert the writer, usually before the story is posted on the site.
