We need background on MiraMax and the investigation:

In the late 1970s, the Disney-Company realized that many single young adult men like Disney-Movies, but are afraid to watch Disney-Movies, but are afraid to see Disney-Movies in theaters because they are afraid that people might mistake them for child-molestors. Disney decided to make movies aimed at young adults males, with ratings of teen or adult, under a different brand-name. Going into the 1980s, Disney started releasing movies like Splash under MiraMax.

Disney decided to let a rapidly rising young man who was full of dynamic energy. That was Bret Weinstein.

The New York Times, started investigating The sexual assaults of Donald Trump in the campaign of of 2016, but unfortunately, the religiously bigoted racist sexist supported followers considered this a feature —— not a bug!

Then they exposed the sexual abuse of Bill O'Reilly. Although FauxNews did not care, the advertisers did, and the O'Reilly Factor left the air.

Then, they got tips about MiraMax:

They heard off the record, because of NDAs (Nondiscloser Agreements) that Harvey Weinstein is a serial sexual assaulter. When his victims went to the police, they found that Disney owned the police in Los Angeles County. When they went to lawyers, they found that Disney out lawyered them. The only option was to take a years-worth of salary, in exchange for not talking. The reporters had to investigate for years and break some NDAs (some of them had illegal provisions voiding them like refusing to cooperate with law-enforcement —— ¡criminals cannot legally create contracts to break the law!).

They brought the sexual assaults to light. Harvey Weinstein currently serves a 23-year sentence for rape.

It is amazing the cultural change that occured in 1 years between 2016 and 2017:

Trump never faced consequences for his actions, O'Reilly, lost his job, Weinstein went to prison for rape.

Disney knew what happened in MiraMax, for a 30 years but did not care, as long as Harvey Weinstein made money.

Interestingly, Peter Jackson shopped his idea for movies based on Lord of the Rings to MiraMax. Harvey Weinstein said that he would let Peter Jackson condense the whole Lord of the Rings into 1 2-hour movie. Peter Jackson refused the offer and went to New Line Cinema. In the Lord of the Rings, Peter Jackson created an extremely ugly orc, based off of Harvey Weinstein, expressing the loathing Peter Jackson developed for Harvey Weinstein.

I recommend the movie "She Said". Letting Harvey Weistein sexually assault for a generation is definitely a failing of modern Disney.
