Okay, i have heard several people stated that the reason Chrysalis won in the second AU in the finale, or even as background stuff in the Sombraverse was because, due to not getting her cutie mark from the rainboom, Twilight didn't get a high profile pony like Cadance as her foalsitter.

I'm here to state, once and for all, that is absolute bollix! We all saw during the flashbck in the season 2 finale, Cadance was already Twi's foalsitter before Twilight got her cutie mark, so her not getting it from the rainboom being a reason why cadance couldn't be her foalsitter makes no sense. I'm tired of lazy people using that as the key reason in the AUs from the finale as to why things might have played out.

It is clear Twilight was already being foalsat by cadance. any other things in relation to the AUs from the finale can still work pretty well, but please, everyone, stop using the lack of the rainboom to explain something that doesn't make sense even in it's own canon.
