OK, what do we know about it?

On the show, when their cutie marks point to a location on the map, it's apparently north-east of Canterlot, and slightly south-east from the Crystal Empire. According to the April 2013 map that probably puts it somewhere near those mountains where the Neighagra Falls are.

The train was shown to stop in an arid location and they had to proceed by hoof from there. There's no such dead-end train line and arid area shown on the map, but that could be explained by the map's semi-3D appearance. Those things could be "behind" the mountains.

So I'm putting this village in the northern foothills of the Neighagra Falls mountains.

Has anyone spotted a consistent name for the village being used in fanfics? I've seen "Marelice". (For the pun "a town called Marelice".)
