Hello again! It's a new month, so what say I try and get some stories read this time, yeah? Gotta keep the group alive somehow.

And I spotted a good one in the feature box tonight...

This story grabs you from the start and doesn't let go. The setting of this story and seeing Princess Celestia presented the way she is--only a twelve year old filly working herself ragged to provide food and shelter for her sister--is a bit of a culture shock compared to what we're used to in the show, but the story never loses sight of Celestia's humanity. She is the adult of her small family, but she is still just a child herself. And while she is a child, she can never afford not to think like an adult. The dichotomy of her character is one of the story's stronger points. Luna is a much simpler addition to the story, but no less important. Her innocence is the driving force of the plot, ultimately inspiring Celestia to reach for a fairy tale ending.

There's a lot of heart in this story, even in a world gone cold.
